In-home massage requires an 8'x5' space for the massage table, not in a bedroom. I will show up at your house at the time listed on the appointment. Set-up and tear-down each take 10-15 minutes, so plan on having me there for about half an hour longer than the length of the appointment. (e.g. If you book an 90-minute appointment at 2:00, I will arrive at 2:00. The massage will start approximately 2:15 and end at 3:45. And I'll be out by 4:00.) I bring everything I need for the session; all I need from you is a clear space to work in.
According to the American Pregnancy Association, it is safe to get massage throughout all trimesters of pregnancy. I have done additional training in perinatal massage, as well as being trained as a labor doula, so I understand the challenges of each trimester, as well as postpartum. During the second trimester and beyond, you'll be lying on your side, so there are no concerns about pressure on your belly or aorta, and this is an option postpartum as well. (This will also be the coziest massage you've ever had!) I like to work closely with your healthcare provider, so if you have any concerns, especially about a high-risk pregnancy or blood clots, please discuss massage with them and I will incorporate any recommendations they have.
I am vaccinated and boosted, but I still wear a mask during the session. It is up to you whether you want to wear a mask or not. I sanitize the face cradle with a hospital-grade sanitizer, and all oil bottles and other equipment are thoroughly cleaned after each use.
All major credit cards, cash, check, Venmo, FSA/HSA with a doctor's prescription.
Please give 24 hours notice to change or cancel your appointment if possible. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be charged for the full amount. If I show up to your house and you are not there, I will call. I'll wait up to 10 minutes, and if I haven't heard from you then, that will be considered a late cancel.
What is expected of me?Very little. Be sure to be available and unrushed for your scheduled appointment and ready to discuss any particular concerns you’d like to have addressed. Arrange for an empty space, at least 5'x8', in a room that isn’t a bedroom (a nursery is fine), ideally on a ground floor. Be available for a brief phone conversation before your appointment. |
May I pay with an FSA/HSA Debit Card or Insurance? We don’t offer tax advice, but we do process most HSA and FSA debit cards. We provide receipts, but cannot process insurance claims on your behalf, except for motor vehicle insurance. Are there any discounts available?Of course. If you enjoy your first massage, we can work with you to put together a membership which offers you a discount and the security of a weekly or monthly slot on our calendar.I live out of town. How can I help?Referrals to local friends and family and reviews on Google or Facebook are a big help to growing Allium’s business. Can you work around...Please be upfront, but almost certainly, ‘yes’. We are comfortable around dogs, children, and your work schedule. For longer services, couples and mom groups, we can even travel as far as Denver. Allium’s passion is consistently making your space the best spa in town.
